Our Speakers
Kate Dittrick
Kate Dittrick has devoted her entire practice to labor and employment issues, with an emphasis on wage and hour matters. Ms. Dittrick’s practice focuses on preventing claims and defending employers in litigation. Ms. Dittrick provides a wide range of advice and counsel to employers on how to avoid lawsuits and administrative charges. Ms. Dittrick provides a variety of training for managers and supervisors on best practices and legal implications of their actions.

Employment claims are often avoided by having well-written and legally compliant policies, handbooks, employment agreements, offer letters, termination letters, and correspondence regarding leaves of absence. Ms. Dittrick drafts such documents and also reviews and revises existing documents. Through extensive litigation experience, Ms. Dittrick knows the common issues that arise and how best to avoid the same through well-drafted employment documents.
Kim Hoogeveen
Dr. Kim Hoogeveen is the creator and owner of MindSet – a company that provides leadership training and consultation support to a wide array of business owners, CEOs, and executive teams. His newest start-up endeavor, BetterCulture, is a digital-first company that offers on-demand digital tools and resources to help organizations improve their culture and create a stronger business.

Prior to starting MindSet, Kim was the founding President & CEO of QLI, a premier healthcare and rehabilitation center. During his 23 years at the helm of the organization Dr. H focused on what he terms Seven Principles of Leadership©, and the results were remarkable. Heather Wezensky
Heather Wezensky is the Senior Vice President of Compliance for Seldin Company and STAR Compliance Consulting, A Division of Seldin Company, and is based on Omaha, Nebraska. Heather is an expert in Fair Housing practices and affordable housing program compliance rules and regulations and holds various affordable designations and credentials such as the CPO™, FHC™, SHCM™ and AHM. She has first-hand insight into the latest affordable housing compliance trends all due to her many years of on-site consulting work with multiple affordable housing programs, in addition to Heather and her team reviewing hundreds of resident files on a monthly basis.

Her ability to quickly comprehend the complex rules and regulations of the affordable housing industry, allows her to assist her co-workers and clients across the country to stay compliant with not only state and federal governmental agency requirements, but also with national and local Fair Housing laws. Heather is a member of the National Affordable Housing Management Association (NAHMA) and the past Chair of their Fair Housing Committee and is the current Chair of their Education and Training Committee, she also sits on the SHCM™ Special Advisory & Technical Committee. Heather was given the distinct honor of NAHMA’s Industry Achievement Award in 2019 and is a current NAHMA approved CPO™, BCD™ and FHC™ Instructor.
Scott Moore
Scott has diverse experience across nearly all disciplines in the commercial brokerage industry. Scott, a certified real estate auctioneer, joined OMNE partners in 2011 and leads their auction services unit. Scott received as BAS from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.
